Expanding economic opportunities with Robert F. Smith
In partnership with investor, philanthropist, and entrepreneur Robert F. Smith, Grameen America opened new branches in Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL to expand our reach and support more entrepreneurs. Operations began in Atlanta in June 2022, with Birmingham following as part of our shared commitment to advancing economic mobility for communities across the country.
To expand access to opportunity and reach business owners in their communities, these new branches focus on programmatic solutions and local partnerships to improve members’ business income, credit scores, personal savings, and material hardship outcomes.
